This compactly designed beechwood all-in-one pochade box is custom-made for outdoor painting. The built in easel holds a painting up to 16.5 inches tall and adjusts in angle right down to flat for water media work. Large turn-knobs make adjustments easy. A beautifully crafted work surface slides out on your left side to give access to your roomy, adjustable storage below with removable slots.  Another movable work surface toes onto your box, left or right and has a soldier course for elevating your brush tips. There is even a paper-towel dispenser that hangs from the bottom of the box. The overall box measures 12" x15" x 6" deep, making this box big enough for long handle brushes. Up to 3 or 4 small canvases 8"x10" or 9" x12" can be stored in compartment on the bottom.

This 16 lb set more than adequately holds lots of materials and tools and is still light enough to be portable but is not a box for long cross-country trekking. It has a shoulder strap for easy transport and comes with a nylon storage bag.

This box has a universal mounting plate and a 1/4" tripod socket which attaches to the standard tripod included with the set. Rubber pads on the box bottom allow for easy studio use as well. Available in cherry or walnut colours.

Have used it several times. The pochade is well built, easy to set up, and accommodates almost all brushes, and about a doz. small tubes of paint, and any size canvas i use outdoors. Tripod has a bit of weight and is very sturdy. The brackets on the shelf, that fastens on the left side of the pochade, were too loose and had to altered to work properly, which was done without too much trouble. The cases for the tripod and pochade are great.
