Creative Mark Powercryl Series Synthetic Hog - Short Flat
Of each type of Powercryl, the Short Flat is the most multifunctional workhorse for oils, even strong enough for minor glaze work. Because of its short filament, it is the strongest configuration of synthetic hogs for pushing paint across areas. It powerfully pushes oil paint wherever it needs to go on your paint surface. It also lays a perfect fine line or a perfect and even smudge through a glaze. You will need two Number Ones, Twos and Fours for fine detailing. These small versions of brights can be manoeuvred in small spaces to fill accurately with colour and morph back and forth from organic to straight line. One or two Number Sixes and eights are great for broader general work. They perform straight lines exceedingly well. Number Tens and Twelves are the very best for laying in broad, even white scumbles of mid to very low pigmentation into wet glazes. They can also brilliantly define straight crisp edges or create a fine, straight line. Depending on your process, one Ten or Twelve is usually enough.
