For Oils, the Red Sable are a good choice if one can afford, and where a softness with a delicate spring is required.

The Series 77 Short Flats are lovely for nuanced blending and flattening of brush strokes.  Because they are short, they offer much better spring than a longer sable brushes.

Pure red sable for oil painting and more

Rosemary series 77 is a wonderful brush, well placed and set hair. With good material for a nice finish. Hopefully they will start a long flats line in the Series 77. Cathy at the professional art store is great and it's a maritime store.
