🇨🇦 Canvas Board

These good quality cotton canvas boards are perfect for acrylics.  The brand might be either Nobel or Winsor Newton, depending on availabilty. For oils, I would advise re-gessoing twice with Golden Gesso, including around the edges, to ensure an excellent substrate for that medium.

The humble canvas board, if gessoed adequately, is actually preferable for structural integrity  to most stretched canvases because it is inflexible and therefore does not make paint surfaces crack or spall. It is actually pretty ideal for smaller work!
