Rembrandt Artist Grade Oils - 40 ml

This professional Artist Grade Rembrandt oil paint is top quality - a luscious, beautifully crafted luminous paint. This very historic Dutch paint company now is based in England, but it is still made in Holland, and is wholesaled and sold in right here in Canada. You will love these paints! They are velvety-smooth and lovely to use. The transparent  pigments are bar-none. 

I have complied perfect fundamental primary palettes. I have included transparent primaries, and also some opaque ones. How you paint will determine your choices. All colour have both non-toxic binders and pigments and have maximum permanence/lightfastness.

Because I know many artist love Cadmium red, I have included a red cadmium substitute, Permanent Red Medium and a yellow cad substitute, Permanent Yellow Light. Rest assured these well-engineered colour formulations will perform equally well and cause you no harm in the process. 

Note: for primary mixing palettes, I would always include Quinacridone Rose, the only truly primary red and both blues; Ultramarine has a tiny bit of red in it and Phthalo Blue Green has a tiny bit of red. So, you need to include all three plus yellow to be able to truly achieve any colour in the rainbow.

I do not carry a Rembrandt white, because all Rembrandt whites have zinc in them. This creates cracking in the paint film over time. 

To pair with these Canada Friendly paints, the white I still recommend is Gamblin FastDry Titanium White. I carry that too because it is the only white oil paint I recommend.
