Artist Statement: Tucked In at Daniels Cove

 It is the paradox that pulls me to this subject matter.  Above the absolutely foreboding sea of Trinity Bay, scabbed onto a treacherous, icy cliff, at the end of a road which can barely be navigated, is this inviting little house. An ancient telephone pole stands with no connections. A light from the house reflects on the from porch floor, or, is it the late-day butterscotch sun? I am compelled to risk the icy slope and the gale to find out.  Might there be some warm soup and good company?
